The Kagadi District Education Department, under the leadership of Acting District Education Officer Ms. Beatrice Mbabazi, convened a preparatory meeting for Term II, 2025, on May 21, 2025. The meeting brought together Headteachers from Government-aided Primary Schools to strategize for the upcoming term.

E-Inspection Report Highlights Areas for Improvement
The District Inspector of Schools revealed that the E-Inspection System report for Kagadi district is yet to meet the desired standards, despite scoring fairly in the recent assessment. The assessment covered 88% of licensed and registered schools, with notable performers including Mother Care P.S, Kids Light P.S, and Muhorro Muslim P.S.

Call to Action for Headteachers
The Inspector encouraged Headteachers to adopt the Teacher Effectiveness and Learner Achievement (TELA) system to boost the district’s performance. He highlighted that 22% of schools failed to clock in during Term I, affecting the district’s overall performance. To improve accountability, he urged Headteachers to utilize Lesson Delivery Books, where teachers sign after each lesson.

Enhanced Monitoring and Teamwork
Headteachers were also called upon to vigilantly monitor school activities and promote teamwork among staff. This includes visits to the education office at the district. Moreover, they were tasked with verifying the accuracy of learner data in the Education Management Information System (EMIS) and working with stakeholders to ensure learners’ retention.

Co-Curricular Activities
In a bid to foster holistic development, the Inspector announced that all schools will participate in Ball games and Girl Guide Activities under co-curricular programs.

The meeting served as a platform for reflection and planning, setting the stage for a productive Term II.
